900 years of history

The Tour de Crest is the former keep of Crest’s medieval castle. It rises to a height of 52m. Formerly a fortress, then state prison, it bears unique witness to medieval prison life.

An exceptional panoramic view

A key feature of the Drôme landscape, the tower offers panoramic views of the Forêt de Saou, the valley and the Drôme hills, from the Vercors to the Ardèche mountains.

Activities for all

The Tower takes you on a journey through 900 years of history. Come and watch the 1789 escape, abseil down the façade or take a guided tour.
